10 Months

I know I was just here posting on Ella being 9 months but on Saturday she turned 10 months!  She hasn't changed much since last time but she is still our little sweetie.  She also can be quite funny and a bit of a thrill seeker.  She likes to fling herself backwards when we hold her a certain way so we always need to be ready for these sudden urges...crazy girl!

9 Months

Ella turned 9 months almost 2 weeks ago...oops! I did take her pictures on the 20th but I just didn't get around to posting them.  She is definitely our little Ella Bear. She is a sweet and cuddly little bear when she isn't teething and has had enough sleep but when she hasn't, watch out because a different kind of bear emerges!

The poor girl's teeth have shown her no mercy.  They seem to come in sets of 2 right on top of the last set!  She has almost 6 now.  She also has a new cheesy grin that she likes to give us (especially her Dad) to show off her new pearly whites!  Kind of cute ♥

She was very interested in all the mulch.

Then she was intent on getting her shoes off.

For some reason both of my babies have liked pickles.

She seems to be on a bit of a food strike.  Bananas are really all she wants right now.

Happy 9 Months Ella!

8 Months!

Another month has passed already! Ella turned 8 months this week.  She now has 2 bottom teeth and is sitting up quite well. She also is sleeping through the night...finally!  I thought Jack was bad but Ella is definitely a mama's girl and she just loved visiting with me in the night...

Jack and I have started to teach her sign language. I was quite impressed when I asked Jack what "more" was and he remembered! He hasn't done that one since he was very little but he still does "please" a lot while saying the word.

Ella is eating baby food twice a day and drinking water from a glass.  She still doesn't seem to like our dinner ground up but hopefully her tastes will change soon.  She twirls her hands around just like Jack used to do (and me as a baby) when she sees the food coming!

She thought I put the sign there for her to play with.

I did my best to keep it just out of her reach!

She is crafty though so, I needed another plan.

A little scotch tape did the trick!

7 Months!

Ella is 7 months!

She has just started to be able to sit up by herself for longer stretches of time.  She still gets excited and topples over sometimes but there has been definite improvement. She also has become more interested in solid foods. She really enjoys bananas and avocados!  Seth and my Mom both noticed that she says, "Ella, Ella" which is very cute!  She has no teeth yet but her mood (at times) is suggesting that they are not too far away. :-)

This expression makes me smile every time!

"Hey Mom, are we about done?  I think I hear a banana calling my name!"

Jack is never too far away and had to love on her a bit.

She is so tolerant!

"Yes!  This is what I am talking about!"

Happy 7 Months, Ella- Ella!

6 Months!

Ella turned 6 months this week!

"Whoa, when did that happen?!"

"I'm not sure how I feel about this."

"Hey Mom, can we talk about this..."
Meanwhile, Jack ran circles around us!
When we went inside his hair was sticking up everywhere from all the sweat!

We already had huckleberries and I didn't really like them.
Jack, of course, thought they were amazing.
I am looking forward to the blackberries being ready.

He was desperately trying to find a black one.

Day 20

Today Ella turned 5 months!

A lady at church told me today that she couldn't believe she is that old already and it does seem like time is flying by.  I guess kids have a way of doing that to people.

 * She squeals with delight and blows raspberries!

 * She is grabbing at more things too.  

 * She actually grabbed the 5 month sign and crunched it up today.  Lil' Stinker!

 * She had her 1st cooked egg yolk the other day and loved it. It won't be long now!

 * She lights up when she sees one of us which makes us feel pretty special.

4 Months

Ella turned 4 months last week and I'm now just getting to posting about it! She is still her happy self as long as she gets enough sleep and if she doesn't, watch out! She watches everything we do especially Jack. She gets so excited when he stops what he is doing to love on her. She giggles at our funny expressions and sounds. She even has started to enjoy being outside. We love our sweet Ella Bear!

This is a little out of focus because I forgot I still had the camera in manual mode.
I was hurrying because her happy window was closing quickly!

There was a lot of hand chewing or grumpy faces going on.
Did you know that kids aren't always in sync with our timetable? True.

I did manage to catch a joyful smile!

Jack got in on the action.

After I laid Ella down, I took a few more of Jack.  I think he was happy for some one on one time with me.

He smiled nicely. I think I said something about trucks...or bobcats.

Oh Jack, you are growing up so quickly. {tear}

3 Months

Ella turned 3 months! She is such a happy baby, full of smiles. 

I had to add this one also. 

Jack likes to help get Ella's attention but she usually gets distracted by his antics!

Ella is 1 Month Old!

We made it to 1 month!  Ella has been a bit fussy and usually needs help falling asleep.  I can't believe I already forgot Jack at this stage (I must have blocked it out!) but the more I think of it he was fussy too just not as bad. From what I read most babies are like this at least until 6 weeks and then hopefully start to get better.  As long as I get her to start sleeping through the night earlier than Jack I will be happy.  :-)

She has started to smile and coo at us which of course makes us happy!

Our landlord has the Bobcat ready for plowing the snow.  Jack will be ecstatic to watch it in action!

11 Months!

11 months!

Today Jack turned 11 months!  There have been some big changes since last month.  He got another tooth on the bottom.  He says "uh-oh" multiple times a day.  He doesn't always say it in the right context but most of the time he is right!  The big news is that he is standing!  He thinks it is quite fun to pull up on all kinds of things until he realizes he has to get back down. :-)

This is the last time for the star so, Jack was thrilled to finally get the chance to touch it...

and this is why he wasn't allowed to touch it the previous months!

This is Jack's "scanimation" book that his Dad got him on his recent work trip. It is such a fun book to read to him. He smiles so big when the animals move!

One morning, Jack thought it was necessary to push the vacuum out of the laundry room. He is such a crazy baby!
