Strawberry Picking
On Wednesday, we were able to take a family trip to the strawberry patch. We had fun gathering our juicy berries but mostly enjoyed watching Jack eat one strawberry after another! He had a blast riding on the wagon and people watching. At one point, we heard him licking his fingers and realized he was getting into the basket and sticking his finger into plump strawberries and drinking the juice! What a boy. :-)
Caught red handed, literally!
Taking a break from eating to check out the tractor.
Protecting his strawberries...
Oh wait, looking for a juicy snack!
While we waited for the tractor to come pick us back up we had a little photo shoot.
Do you think he enjoyed his strawberries?!
I had to kiss his sweetness!
All cleaned up and wearing his "I picked strawberries" sticker proudly.
After dinner, he enjoyed his first ever piece of pie.
After his bath, he ran around and worked off his pie!
What a fun day to help lead us into the summer!

This Moment ~ The Classic Head Tilt
He tilts his head to say thank you (even though he can sign thank you) or just to be cute.
Either way, we are suckers for that adorable head tilt!

Rainy Day Play
Our weather has been jumping back and forth between warm sunny days and cold rainy days. On those rainy days, we have to find creative ways to stay busy. It can be tough since Jack's attention span can be quite short. I usually spend a lot of time cleaning up activities multiple times a day. However, it's worth it if it keeps him busy!
Legos are really fun especially when Dad makes an awesome airplane!
Switching our seasonal book basket to spring books and...
playing with his new ducks, lamb and bunny that his Gammy got him.
Playing the harmonica is a great way to pass the time!
He really enjoys sorting and dumping things like dried beans, wheat and even Bananagrams! This is one of those messy activities!
I also pulled out 1/2 dozen wooden eggs. He enjoys dumping them all out of the egg carton and placing each one back in. He usually claps for himself. :-)
By the way, that is our new rug! We have been saving up for quite a while now and recently there was a rug sale at World Market plus a coupon for 25% off! I originally wanted a natural colored wool rug but was talked out of it due to it's impracticality. Oh well. We found this 100% wool rug at a price we could afford and I think it will hide all baby (and parent) messes quite nicely! Now if it will just stop shedding all over us...
